Pongal, the harvest festival celebrated in Tamilnadu, is basically considered as “Thanks Giving” festival in helping the farmers to get better yielding crops. The four days festival is a sign of Prosperity , Good health, Good wishes and the fulfillment of desires. Christmas is the festival which inspires the spirit of sharing and caring. Soaking in the spirit of Christmas tiny tots of Sona Valliappa Public School celebrated the festival with enthusiasm on December 24th 2020. The School was beautifully decorated and everyone were dressed in red and white. The students sang melodious carols and danced beautifully to wish everyone. The significance of the festival was explained to the students through the Christmas carols. Santa arrived and distributed gifts and chocolates. A Festival commemorated to mark the joy, victory and harmony. Also it is known as the “festival of lights”. Diwali is celebrated to declare the victory of Good over evil. Our children of Sona Valliappa Public School enjoyed this festival on 13th November 2020 by celebrating it in a pollution free environment by bursting the balloon crackers in a Eco Friendly way.
